Can you believe it?! It’s time for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!

The festival opens on January 13th and runs until February 20th, 2023, and there are a lot of exciting things in store. There will be loads of food booths, fun activities (including a Figment scavenger hunt), live entertainment, chalk art, and so much more.
We were invited to a media event by Disney to preview some of the things coming to the festival — here’s what you can expect!

Entertainment
Look who made an appearance… the original Figment from the attraction!

We were greeted in this festival center by the artist who made this year’s official poster himself, Jason Ratner.

He said the idea behind the work is to take a “look at EPCOT from our past and what it’s going to be in our future” and to bring the two together. There were also artists there creating masterpieces before our very eyes!

The original pin boards were there — and guess what?

They will be in the Odyssey Events Pavillion for the duration of the festival for guests to use!

Merchandise
We also got to see some of the new merchandise you can expect at the event.

This “Create your own MAGIC” Spirit Jersey is so colorful!

And here’s what the front looks like!

There were also some cute Figment mugs…

… and customizable chalk art mugs!

Figment even made sure to liven up the festival pins.

And LOOK at these tumblers!

And in case you needed an excuse to buy another Munchling, there’s now a Fruity Fig Bar in the collection.

There’s also a new limited edition MagicBand for the festival. It says “Festival of the Arts” on one side and “2023” on the other.

Annual Passholders will even be getting exclusive merch for the occasion. First, we saw this “Chalk it Up” shirt…

… and this matching “Chalk it Up” pin.

This year’s festival gift card is so colorful, guys!

Food
In case you haven’t heard, the Figment Popcorn Bucket is BACK, and Disney has confirmed there will be a virtual queue to get one.

We also got to see some of the festival food and drinks coming tomorrow.

Figment’s Inspiration Station
There was the Rainbow Cider Flight from Figment’s Inspiration Station, which will be a new booth at the festival this year.

We also tried a few other dishes from the booth! There was the Grape Smoothie with Freeze-Dried SKITTLES…

…and the Rainbow Cake with Freeze-Dried SKITTLES!

Finally, we got to try the Fruit Pizza from Figment’s Inspiration Station is watermelon, compressed cantaloupe, berries, and berry balsamic.

Moderne
Another bite we got to eat ahead of time was the Compressed Watermelon Tataki from Moderne, which will be another new booth. This dish is made with Tataki with pickled watermelon rind, yuzu pearls, watermelon foam, and wasabi.

The Angry Crab from Moderne is a whole crispy soft-shell crab with green papaya salad, mango-sriracha fluid gel, and coconut-lime foam with pomegranate and mango crush pearls.

Finally from Moderne, there was the Tropics, which is lilikoi mousse, guava cake, coconut crémeux, compressed pineapple, and mango gel.

The Artist’s Table
Three-Meat Meatloaf with “Peas and Carrots” from The Artist’s Table is made with green pea pudding, carrot ketchup, shaved carrot salad, and snap peas.

The Duck and Dumplings, is smoked duck breast, ricotta dumplings, petite vegetables, and duck jus.

Hummingbird Cake from The Artist’s Table is a banana cake with pineapple, coconut, pecans, and cream cheese frosting with banana sorbet.

We’ll be at the opening day of the festival, so stay tuned because we’ll be covering everything there is to see, do, and eat at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts!
