Disney World’s 50th Anniversary has been a huge event, with new fireworks shows, treats, cavalcades, character outfits, and more. Of course, it wouldn’t be a party in Disney World without a bunch of new merchandise to celebrate the occasion. But did you know that you don’t even have to visit the parks to get your hands on some of the new items?
Disney has released several 50th Anniversary collections in the parks, but a lot of the merchandise can be found online, too. We spotted a new pair of 50th Anniversary Mickey ears online today — but these are NOT your average ears!
Earlier this summer, we found the new 50th Anniversary Mickey Balloon Light-Up Ears in Disney World (that’s quite a mouthful!). Previously we’d only seen these in Disney World, but now you can buy them online as well!
These ears have a shiny gold headband, which has “Walt Disney World 50” embroidered in blue thread on the side. Each ear looks like a classic Mickey balloon, with a gold Cinderella Castle 50th logo on the inside part. The “balloons” are shimmery, with an iridescent color scheme of pastel blues, pinks, and gold (just like many of the 50th Anniversary decorations in the parks).
And the best part? The ears light up! Just flip the switch to “on,” and the balloons will glow blue. You can switch it back to “off” to turn the lights off. These would be perfect to wear to a nighttime show in the parks.

These aren’t the only new ears we’ve spotted online recently. For those who are getting ready for spooky season, you can find some Halloween-themed Minnie ears on shopDisney now. And Haunted Mansion fans can’t miss the new ride-themed ears!
Although you can’t get them online yet, the best ears for Disney snack fans have to be the new Mickey Premium Bar Ears, and we’ve fallen in love with the Princess Tiana ears over in Disneyland as well.
