Heads Up! These Are the BUSIEST Holiday Travel Days at the Orlando Airport

Orlando International Airport is gearing up for the big holiday travel season beginning next week.

After seeing a major increase in travelers and nearly one million people over Thanksgiving, there are reasons to expect crowds this holiday season. Orlando International Airport just posted their projections for this holiday travel season and the results may surprise you, so take a look!

According to Orlando International Airport (MCO), there are five days that top the list for the busiest travel days of the holiday season. They’ve compiled passenger projections for these five big days, and coming in as fifth place for the busiest travel day is December 23rd, with a projected 146,298 travelers expected.

In fourth place is December 27th, with 146,402 travelers projected.

Right in the middle of the pack is December 30th, projected to see 146,407 travelers.

Holiday crowds at the Orlando International Airport

New Year’s Day comes in at number two, with 153,048 projected travelers.

And in first place is December 18th, with a projected 156,925 travelers! So if you’re planning on taking a flight out of MCO on the 18th, make sure you plan to encounter big crowds!
