We’ve been keeping an eye on the crowd levels in Disney World, and the last couple of weeks have been very empty in the parks.
For Labor Day weekend, we’ve seen crowd levels increase, which has meant more people and higher wait times in Disney World. We took a look at the statistics to see if the crowds really were much bigger than before or if we’ve just been spoiled with super low crowds recently.
The stats are in, and according to WESH.com, the amount of Orlando travelers definitely increased over Labor Day weekend.
In fact, in the six days on and around Labor Day, departing flights out of the Orlando International Airport is up 7% compared to 2019. In 2020, many people decided not to travel for the holiday, but it looks like the weekend trips are back.
We saw before that the Orlando airport expected the rise in travelers for this holiday weekend, as people try to get one last taste of summer before the school year begins in earnest.
We’ll keep an eye on the crowds around Disney World, so stay tuned with AllEars as you plan your next vacation.
