Travel’s looking VERY different recently as the U.S. has been removed from the EU’s safe travel list, trips to the Bahamas are advised against, and lower travel numbers have been reported since May.
The CDC has provided caution against travel during Labor Day Weekend.The holiday tends to be a popular time for Orlando’s theme parks and other tourism sites. And, this year is expected to be a BIG year for travel over the holiday weekend.
Click Orlando News shared that officials at the Orlando International Airport expect that there will be more than 303,000 departures over Labor Day Weekend.
Compared to the number of flights over the holiday weekend in 2019, this is a 7% increase and double the numbers the Orlando International Airport saw during Labor Day in 2020 as well.
The busiest travel day will most likely be on Saturday with more than 53,000 predicted departures. The airport has stated that “This holiday it appears many travelers are soaking in the last bit of summer by taking a trip to Orlando.”
