A Snack Spot is Reopening Soon With NEW Menu Items in Disney's Animal Kingdom

There are lots of tried-and-true snacks at Disney World, but menus often change and many times guests get the chance to try brand NEW treats.

Time for a Visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there are a variety of restaurants and snack spots you can visit to get some tasty treats. And soon another place in the park will be reopening with NEW things for guests to try!

On August 29th, Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at Animal Kingdom will be reopening! This spot has been temporarily unavailable for quite some time now, but soon guests will be able to grab a variety of snacks and drinks there.

If you’re one who likes to try new food items, then Kusafiri might be just the place for you to visit. When Kusafiri reopens, it’ll be serving up some NEW entrees! For the hot dog fans, there will be a Red Chili Hot Dog. This is a spicy hot dog topped with cucumber–tomato salad and harissa aïoli. It will be served with house-made chips.

If you’re not in the mood for a hot dog, you could grab one of the Spiced Potato Hand Pies. These snacks will be made with vegetables and potatoes wrapped in pastry and served with harissa aïoli and coriander chutney.

And this spot will also be serving up Marinated Chicken Flatbread Sandwiches. This entree will feature marinated chicken topped with cucumber–tomato salad, tahini sauce, and greens. It will be served with house-made chips.

While you’re grabbing a treat from Kusafiri you could also impress your friends with some special knowledge. Earlier today, Disney shared that “kusafiri” means “to journey” in Swahili. That’s a fun little tidbit you can share with others as you chow down on this spot’s new menu items!
