NEWS: Orange County Announces Upcoming Closure of Disneyland Vaccine Site

Disneyland will finally be reopening next week after over a year of being closed. With it, comes some additional updates.

Disneyland will reopen soon!

Back in January, Disneyland became the first super point-of-distribution site for the COVID-19 vaccine in Orange County. However, a closing date for the vaccination site has now been announced.

As the date draws nearer to Disneyland’s grand reopening, it has now been formally announced by the Orange County Health Care Agency that the vaccine drive-thru site set up in one of Disneyland’s parking lots will be closing.

Operations will officially cease on April 30th, which is also the date of Disneyland’s reopening, and it is estimated by the Orange County Health Care Agency that the site will have given over 230,000 doses by this point.

The press release also notes that the remaining resources from the Disneyland site and any vaccine supply will be redistributed to areas in the county in need. Now that all Californians are eligible for the vaccine, and there is no longer an issue of short supply, more sites are popping up around the area as it moves towards reopening.
