Disneyland Shares How the Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue Will Work

Disneyland Resort will reopen at the end of this month!

The gates will reopen to guests so soon!

So far, Disney has shared quite a few details on who will be able to purchase park tickets, when park tickets will become available, and how to book a park pass reservation later this month. And, when the parks reopen, Disney has confirmed that the iconic rides in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be available. But, you may remember that the popular ride, Rise of the Resistance, utilizes a virtual queue and the only way to ride is to secure a spot in the virtual line. Here’s how that will work!

Before you head to Disneyland Park, you’ll want to be sure that you have the Disneyland Mobile app downloaded on your mobile device. Not only will this be where you will be able to Mobile Order your food, check wait times, and navigate the park, but it will also be the only place to get a boarding group (aka the virtual line) for Rise of the Resistance.

Disney has shared that the distribution times for boarding groups will take place two times each day, with one opportunity in the morning and one later in the day. In order to access the virtual queue during the morning window, you will need to have a valid ticket linked to your Disney account and a park reservation for Disneyland Park on that date.

Those who do not secure a boarding group in the morning or are visiting Disney California Adventure with a Park Hopper ticket will then be able to access the virtual queue to try for a spot in the afternoon. For those with a Park Hopper ticket, keep in mind that park hopping begins at 1PM daily.
