There’s a reason that the longest lines in Disney World at rope drop aren’t necessaraily for rides, but for Starbucks. In fact, if you visit Magic Kingdom at rope drop, you’ll probably see a line out the door at Main Street Bakery because a lot of us need to get that little caffeine fix before we start tackling the parks.

Well, if you’ll be visiting Starbucks in Disney World soon, you’ll see some new menu items. We tried two of those new menu items, and we’re going to tell you which one should be your next Starbucks order.
The first new drink we grabbed was the Iced Mango Cream Matcha for $6.45. This is a Starbucks matcha with mango-flavored cold cream. One thing we noticed is that this drink does not have a strong matcha flavor, so if you love matcha, you might be disappointed. However, the mango is POWERFUL and makes this drink a little TOO sweet. It’s refreshing, but we wish it were heavier on the matcha more so than on the mango. You still want a bit of that grassy flavor with a matcha, and we just didn’t get that.

However, the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato for $6.45 knocked it out of the park. This drink is made with espresso layered over milk and toasted coconut-flavored syrup, served over ice, and topped with an ube coconut cold foam and sprinkled with toasted coconut flakes. This drink is wonderfully light and delicious. The Ube adds a beautiful purple color to the drink, but it only gives off a nice light sweetness. You do get a lot of that coconut flavor, though, which pairs well with the rest of the drink.

Because of the Ube, this macchiato is a little thicker than most, so it almost has a milkshake consistency, and we have no problem with that. If you’re going to order any of the new drinks, we say make it this one.
We’ll continue to find and try new food and drinks in Disney World, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
