When you visit Disney World, it’s almost guaranteed that there will be some ride closures that affect your vacation.

Sometimes these ride closures are planned, like how Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin have been closed for refurbishment, but there are also lots of unplanned closures that happen in the parks. Sometimes it’s a mechanical issue, or perhaps a ride vehicle needs to be cleaned — the list goes on. We watch wait times each and every month to see what rides you should be cautious of, and we’ve gotta admit that we’re getting REALLY concerned about a few of these rides.
Magic Kingdom
We weren’t surprised to see Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at the top of this list with 47 closures in 28 days, because this ride often closes during fireworks due to safety. However, seeing that The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh closed 45 times in 21 days? Yeah, THAT’S concerning. We know this ride is older, but we’ve been noticing it has some pretty intense issues for a while now, and now we’re afraid they’re getting worse.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure closed 27 times in 19 days, which isn’t awful, but we have noticed it’s often closed in the mornings, so we’re assuming this ride just really isn’t a morning person.

Space Mountain also closed 27 times in 21 days, which isn’t fantastic, but considering that this ride is older, too, it’s not shocking. We would love some TLC for it, though, because if you’ve been on this ride recently, you know it HURTS.
EPCOT
YIKES! That’s the only word we think of when we see that Test Track, which only came out of a long refurbishment a few months shy of a year ago, closed 71 times in 24 days. That’s nearly three times every day!

Spaceship Earth closed 52 times in 28 days, which isn’t what we love to hear, since that’s also an average of about 2 times a day. We’re still waiting to see if this ride will ever get the refurbishment that Disney talked about a few years ago, but so far, there’s been no update on that.

Finally, Journey Into Imagination With Figment closed 28 times in 22 days. This ride isn’t particularly technologically advanced, so we’re not sure why it’s been struggling recently. Hopefully, it won’t be acting up too much during the spring break season as we continue on.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios actually had a pretty great month when it came to closures! Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance closed 29 times in 19 days, which isn’t bad considering how much technology this ride has around nearly every corner. Slinky Dog Dash was right behind it, closing 28 times in 16 days, which, again, isn’t too bad, especially as we get into the rainy season, and the ride will close when lightning is in the area.

Toy Story Mania! closed 21 times in 13 days, and this is a ride we’ve noticed continues to have issues throughout the days, but it often doesn’t close completely. Instead, the wait time will suddenly double, almost as if only half of the ride is working. We’re hoping Disney will come in and fix it sometime sooner rather than later, especially before summer!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Kali River Rapids closed 16 times in 9 days, and all we can hope is that it won’t get too much worse, because as it gets hotter outside, this ride typically gets more and more popular.

Expedition Everest closed 15 times in 13 days, which isn’t too bad for a roller coaster as old as this one! Maybe someday we’ll finally get to see the Yeti back in A mode, but we’re not holding our breath.
