REVIEW: Disney World's New Snack Should Come With a Warning

Easter at Disney World is SO much fun. Not only do you get to see a super rare characters right before the big day (yes, the Easter Bunny comes to Disney World), but there are also some fun Easter-themed activities and Easter snacks.

Now, we’ve been checking out some of the Easter snacks that have already started arriving in Disney World, so let’s head on over to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to try one.

You can find the Painted Egg Whoopie Pie for $5.79 at The Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club. This little dessert might surprise you because it’s a Cinnamon Sponge Cake with Maple Buttercream Filling topped with Pastel Chocolate and Springtime Sprinkles. So it looks like something targeted at kids, but it’s got some flavors in there that adults might appreciate more. It looks like it would be SUPER sweet, but it’s not. It’s really much more cinnamon-forward in flavor. Now, that’s interesting because it really isn’t saying spring to us…in fact, we were getting fall vibes from the flavors with this dessert.

The cake part of the whoopie pie, though, somehow turned out to be both soft and a little dry, even with the cream. The frosting is where the real sweetness comes in, and it was a little overwhelming, especially with the other light flavors. But the sprinkles do add a nice crunch.

We’re going to warn you, though, that this is a very sticky and messy treat, and it will get all over your fingers and dye them. So make sure you have access to wet wipes because you’re going to need them. It needs a “sticky’ warning on it!
