Deadpool May Be Getting A NEW Movie…Here's What We Know

There are a lot of question marks surrounding Marvel and the Marvel Cinematic Universe right now. With the impending release of Marvel: Doomsday (and all the teasers that have already been released about that movie), where will the MCU go from here?

Well, one thing is for certain. One of Marvel’s hottest characters is Deadpool, who finally joined the MCU with the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, the third film in the Deadpool franchise. But will there be a 4th Deadpool movie? Well, all signs may be pointing to yes.

According to ScreenRant, a report by Puck suggests that Deadpool 4 could already be in the works…sort of. The report doesn’t provide a lot of details, but it does mention how the project would allow actor Ryan Reynolds to return as Deadpool for another movie. The report states that Reynolds is “wisely focused” on his next Deadpool movie.

Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean that plans are in motion for a fourth Deadpool movie, but considering how Deadpool & Wolverine broke a lot of box office records, it could be a wise financial decision to bring Reynolds back for another round in the character’s shoes.

Now let’s take a look at something Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy said last year on the On Film with Kevin McCarthy podcast. Levy admitted to actively thinking about the next Deadpool movie, although he’s not sure what it might exactly look like. However, he also said, “Okay, how do we make another Deadpool movie? Sequels are hard. They are dauntingly hard.”

In the meantime, several Marvel projects will release in 2026, including the Marvel series Wonder Man (now available on Disney+), as well as a new season of Daredevil: Born Again, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a new season of X-Men ’97, a new season of Your Friendly Neighborbood Spider-Man, Avengers: Doomsday, the TV series Vision Quest, and The Punisher Marvel TV Special.
