Disney Drops NEW LOOK at Grand Floridian Tea Room Reopening This Year

It’s hard to believe that there are still some things in Disney World that have been closed since 2020, and there have been a few things that Disney just decided to close entirely.

We were starting to think the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was one of those things, until Disney recently revealed that the tea room would reopen soon. Well, now, we’ve got a first look at what you can expect when the tea room reopens on March 19th.

The Garden View Tea Room will have “new touches from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Alice in Wonderland.” Disney has also previously said that the tea room would also reopen with a “refreshed look that complements the new lobby design.” Now, Disney hasn’t revealed what the overall new look of the Garden View Tea Room will be, but here’s a peek at the refreshed lobby at the Grand Floridian.

The Garden View Tea Room will feature new tea sets, though. Before the tea room closed in 2020, this is what the tea cups and saucers looked like:

Here’s what the new tea cups, pots, saucers, plates, and tea setting will look like when it reopens in March. As you can see, everything has been given a bit of a more modern whimsical look.

Disney also teased that the teas served will be from the Twinings Loose Leaf Tea Selections, including a tea exclusive to Disney World, the Orangery of Lady Grey, a black tea with orange notes. Cast Members will be on hand to help you select the perfect tea for your own Mad Tea Party.

You’ll also find some signature tea cocktails to imbibe upon while you’re enjoying afternoon tea, although you’ll also have a selection of non-alcoholic tea specialties to choose from, too.

Food will include a tea tower of treats, including the Orange-Cranberry Scone, along with its various accompaniments. You’ll also get tea sandwiches, cakes, and other sweet treats. A plant-based tea menu will also be available.
