Book your airfare and buy your Disney World tickets — there’s not a lot of time left to visit this popular Animal Kingdom restaurant one last time!

While the new year often brings with it a ton of optimism and excitement, we’re a little sad because it just means we’re getting closer to saying goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A. before it permanently closes to make way for Pueblo Esperanza, a new Tropical Americas-themed land. A lot of the attention has been on the rides we’re losing — and for good reason — but it goes without saying that the removal of a popular restaurant within the soon-to-be-defunct land stings just as much.
Hilariously themed after paleontology, Restaurantosaurus is an Animal Kingdom quick-service restaurant that serves up classic American fare like Angus burgers, chicken strips, and hot dogs. A great spot for families, it breaks our hearts to remind you that it will be permanently closed on February 2nd, 2026, along with the rest of DinoLand, U.S.A.

If you want to get in one last meal or just stop by to soak in the vibes, you’ll need to do so on or before February 1st.

If you do decide to drop by, we recommend checking out a Kids Meal, as it comes with a FREE souvenir cup that features a green lid — similar to those found on a coffee cup — and several types of multicolored animals, as well as the Animal Kingdom wording and the Tree of Life.

A great way to memorialize Animal Kingdom AND Restaurantosaurus, this cup comes included in a roughly $10 meal, making it a fantastic value that will only appreciate over time. Whether the cup will pop up at a different Animal Kingdom restaurant remains to be seen.

Fans won’t just be swarming Restaurantosaurus, as the last remnants of the land will also be closing that day. Notably, February 1st is also the last day to ride DINOSAUR, which will be replaced by an original Indiana Jones ride with similar mechanics. An Encanto ride will also be joining the new land, as will a new carrousel and Tropical Americas-themed offerings like restaurants, shops, and decor.

We’re sad to see Restaurantosaurus and the rest of DinoLand U.S.A. go, but still excited to see what becomes of the new land! For all the latest Pueblo Esperanza updates, make sure to keep it posted right here at AllEars!
