What's Going On With This Popular Disney Restaurant?

There’s nothing more annoying that going to Disneyland only to find out that your favorite ride is closed or that your favorite restaurant is undergoing a refurbishment.

That’s why we try to keep up with all the closures and refurbishments so you won’t have any such surprises during your next trip. With that being said, we have what MIGHT be a restaurant closure coming up soon in Disney California Adventure, so we’re going to tell you what we know.

The restaurant in question is the popular Lamplight Lounge, home to the Lobster Nachos that we’ve probably talked about a lot. The refurbishment calendar on the Disneyland website has both the Lamplight Lounge and Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining listed as under refurbishment starting on January 12th.

We also noticed that if you visit the actual Lamplight Lounge page on the Disneyland website, it says “No Times Available” through January 15th. Then, on January 16th, brunch hours are no longer available (we’re just seeing hours for lunch and dinner).

When we visited the Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining page, it shows that no times are available starting on January 12th through January 20th (and many of those days are even blocked off).

So it’s unclear what is happening here, but it could be an indication that Disney has plans for a refurbishment for the restaurant during this time. However, Disney has not yet confirmed that on the restaurant’s page, so all we know right now is that you can’t make reservations for Lamplight Lounge on these dates.
