Christmas timeeee is here!! Time for joy and cheer! Plus LOTS of fun in Disney World.

From after-hours parties to limited-time snacks, there are tons of different ways to celebrate the holidays in the parks. One of the most fun things the parks do is check out the limited-time ride overlays throughout the parks, which make some of our favorite rides even better!

Across the Disney parks, you can find lots of holiday festivities! While we could never actually pick our #1 top favorite holiday activity (it changes every day), we are obsessed with the overlays you can find on attractions. Starting in Magic Kingdom, the Jingle Cruise is already in full swing!

The Jingle Cruise!

The Jungle Cruise takes on a Christmas overlay this time of year, adding new decorations, jokes, and more to the popular attraction. This overlay is arguably the most popular and can showcase some pretty long lines, especially when the crowds are out and about.

Also in Adventureland, a lesser-known festive nod is that the organ in the Swiss Family Treehouse plays Christmas music! This walkthrough attraction is where you can get some amazing views of the park. It’s one that a lot of people skip, but it holds a special place in our hearts! There are also a few other ride overlays in Magic Kingdom that you can only experience during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which you can read about here.

In Hollywood Studios, you can find a handful of holiday fun! The Frozen Sing-Along Celebration does holiday songs, and even Olaf makes an appearance, which the kiddos tend to love!

Over in Toy Story Land, Alien Swirling Saucers plays Christmas music within its normal music rotation! This one isn’t as commonly known because you won’t get the holiday version every time you ride. In addition to those Toy Story classics, you might hear a festive tune or two.

EPCOT gets in on the fun in two ways! Arguably, the cutest way is that Figment dons his Christmas sweater at Journey Into Imagination. His sweater has become somewhat iconic, and Disney even sold a version of it last year. This year, you can even grab Mickey ears inspired by the sweater! It isn’t a major change to the overall ride, but serious Disney fans know to look for it. This ride typically makes the switch over on the first day of the Festival of the Holidays, which begins on November 28th this year.

Living with the Land also becomes the Glimmering Greenhouses! Glimmering Greenhouses adds a holiday overlay to Living With the Land by giving the greenhouses an overlay with sparkling lights, holiday decor, and more. It is SO sweet and one of our favorite holiday traditions. This one, luckily, has already begun!

Finally, in Animal Kingdom, none of the rides themselves get a “Christmas Cover,” but some characters do don a festive look. Typically, DinoLand is the spot that changes the most for the holidays, and the characters wear their holiday best. That being said, DinoLand is currently under construction to make way for Pueblo Esperanza, so we don’t quite know if we’ll be seeing Donald and his pals in their holiday best.

Mickey and Minnie will be in their holiday versions of their classic safari outfits over at Adventureers Outpost! If you need a touch of red, they will certainly provide.

We love all of the holiday touches around the parks and Disney Springs because they make it feel even more magical. All of these switches will begin towards the end of November and into December this year. Be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney tips, tricks, news, and more!
