A big special event just kicked off in Disney Springs!

The Great Irish Hooley Boutique Music Festival has officially kicked off at Raglan Road as of August 28th, and there’s a lot to enjoy! We stopped by to check it out, and we’re here to share all the details.
Raglan Road hosts this festival every year, and this year’s event is THIS WEEKEND only! So if you want to stop by, you’ll need to hurry.

If you didn’t know, a Hooley is a Gaelic term for a party with music and entertainment. Well, that’s exactly what this festival is — and it’s a blast! They have bands playing all weekend and lots of delicious eats and drinks to try.

Raglan Road invited us to try some of the menu items and experience the festival. We started off by sampling three different drinks. First is the Ube Cocktail, which is one of the new Halloween drinks Raglan Road is releasing. It was very Mezcal-forward and smoky in flavor with a bit of ube to it.

The Blackberry Blonde Ale was incredibly smooth with a hint of blackberry flavor that wasn’t too sour or too sweet. It’s rather fruity and refreshing and easy to drink.

We also had the Rosemary & Maple Whisky Sour, which is on their regular menu for $16. It’s made with Dickel 12 Tennessee Whisky, crushed rosemary, dark maple syrup, Fees foam, and lemon sour.

To eat, there were a few different dishes to try. We started with the Crispy Cream Goats Cheese Salad, which is on their menu for $24. Crispy fried goats cheese with pickled carrot, squash & arugula salad, pear & shallot relish, blackberries, and quinoa crunch come together in a bowl. This was a lovely mix of healthy bits and fun flavors and textures. The goat cheese was soft and creamy inside the fried outer shell, and the blackberry had a nice zing. We really enjoyed the texture of the quinoa crunch.

Moving on to heartier things, we had the Pork Schnitzel, which is $26 on the menu. It’s served with crispy skin on fried wedges, mustard cream sauce, pear & shallot relish, and fine-grated parmesan. The pork was lean and juicy, but the ratio of meat to breading was a little off. The potatoes were phenomenal, though, with the crispy exterior and overall vibe that reminded us of a hash brown.

The Gnocchi Nua was our favorite dish of the night, made with potato and herb gnocchi with zucchini, asparagus, yellow squash & peas in spinach lemon, parmesan sauce. The gnocchi were tender and the sauce was bright and lemon-forward with a distinct cheesiness — a really unique combination of flavors. You can order this for $28.

It’s Okay to Drool is Raglan Road’s famous bread pudding, but served French Toast style. It has vanilla mascarpone, mixed berries, crispy maple-glazed bacon on the side, and it’s on their brunch menu for $23.50. This was sweet with distinct maple notes, and the bacon was nice and crispy. A truly spectacular dish!

Finally, we had the Ube Cheesecake, which is one of the specialty Halloween items. The cheesecake flavor is strongest with just a hint of ube coming through. The color and presentation are really fun for the season!

Also, if you’re heading to Raglan Road this fall, make sure to check out their new Halloween shirt line!

This festival is a real Hooley, and it is only here for a limited time, so make sure to check it out at Disney Springs this weekend if you have a chance! For more Disney news and updates, be sure to follow us at AllEars.
