Disney World construction can be hard. It usually means saying hello to something new while having to say goodbye to something else.

Animal Kingdom is currently going through a major transformation to welcome Pueblo Esperanza, the Tropical Americas themed land, and we just found new permits that mean more construction is on its way.
The first permit is for the DinoLand U.S.A. meet and greet areas for Goofy and Pluto. It says “general construction” on the permit, so it probably means the time to meet Goofy and Pluto in DinoLand is slowly coming to an end.

The second one is for our beloved Restaurantosaurus! This permit also says “general construction” and while Disney has promised that the quick service spot and attraction, DINOSAUR, will stay open through 2025, it sounds like they’re ready to get going and welcome in the Tropical Americas.

As we say goodbye to DinoLand, what else is coming? Indiana Jones and Encanto are taking over the land.

The very first Encanto ride will take you through Casita on a boat…

…and a brand-new Indiana Jones adventure will be taking over DINOSAUR. While we love the original ride at Disneyland, we’re pretty excited to see the new storyline.

There will also be a gorgeous carousel with tons of animals from different Disney movies. We even spot Kevin from Up!

DinoLand has been closing in phases. Earlier this year, we already said farewell to Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures and Fossil Fun Games.

The Boneyard will be closing on September 2nd, making the last day to experience the playground September 1st.

The rest of DinoLand will be closing in early 2026.

We’re excited for these new changes and welcome to Pueblo Esperanza, but we’ll always be yearning for our original dinosaur-filled days. Make sure you keep following AllEars for more.
