Disney’s Pop Century Resort has been undergoing quite the refurbishment for the past few months!

The majority of the work has been located in the hotel’s dining option, Everything POP! The entire area has gotten a refresh that we’re really big fans of, but the menu is also getting some new additions as well. We just tried the two new sweet treats that just landed on the menu, and while we can confidently recommend one to you, the other one…well, you’ll see.
First up was the Fruit-flavored Cereal Shake for $7.99, which is a vanilla shake blended with fruit-flavored cereal and strawberry topped with strawberry-marshmallow whoopie pie, whipped cream, and cherry (this one is non-alcoholic).

While this one was good, the real “fruit flavor” comes from the colors on the sides of the cup, so you’ll really want to get a spoon and get bites as you scoop the sides as well. It did melt FAST, so keep that in mind and grab napkins.

It has a very light strawberry and blue raspberry flavor, so it truly does taste like a Fruit Loop, and we do feel it’s a better shake consistency than the festival shakes we’ll often see in EPCOT (those are almost always pre-mixed, which affects the texture). Overall, it’s super pretty and we enjoyed it, so we do recommend it! Move over, EPCOT! There’s a new cereal shake in town.

Then we had the adorable Ice Cream Truck Sundae for $27.79! This is your choice of soft-serve with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, cherries, and SNICKERS bar pieces served in Mickey’s Ice Cream Truck.

The real draw here is the souvenir ice cream truck, which we do adore — it would look great on a Disney-lover’s shelf! We majorly appreciated that instead of the sticking the ice cream directly in the souvenir, it’s easy to remove the plastic container of the ice cream!

We love that the ice cream truck itself features all our favorite characters, too!

In total, you can see Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Chip and Dale!

And the best part? Do you see that ice cream cone at the front of the truck? Well, it comes out, and it’s actually a spoon!

However, the sundae itself is pretty run of the mill and isn’t anything special. We did enjoy the Snickers pieces in there as it helped bring another texture into the mix, but otherwise, it was pretty basic.

Now, if that’s what you’re looking for and you’re totally in love with this souvenir, then we say go for it! However, the real draw here IS the souvenir, not the ice cream, which is pretty basic, and like many Disney souvenirs, it may just end up sitting on a shelf at home and collecting dust.

Next up, we grabbed the Orange Cake Bar for $6.29! It had orange cake with buttercream icing and freeze-dried Skittles on top.

The cake didn’t have much of an orange flavor, which we found disappointing. The buttercream had a bit of a citrus flavor, and it tasted like there was a bit of the Skittles mixed into it.

It was overall disappointing in our eyes. Luckily, we had one more thing to try with the Totally Orange Cone for $6.49!

This ice cream was orange and vanilla soft serve swirl in an orange cone, topped with freeze-dried Skittles candy. It was a creamsicle dream in our opinion! The sweet vanilla mixed with the tart orange was a lovely combo.

We loved this one because it was light, fun, and different than your traditional ice cream offerings. We would happily grab it again! Looking for more recent reviews? Check out our posts below!
