Carousel of Progress is about a 20-minute show located in Tomorrowland. It’s entirely indoors, and the theater seating rotates four times around the stage to show you different stages of technology advancement throughout the 20th century! It’s one of our favorite ways to relax while we’re in the parks — and now you can go behind the scenes!

Walt Disney Imagineering just released a behind-the-scenes look at Carousel of Progress, highlighting some of the smaller details you may not notice while you watch!

Did you know that all the stages are slanted to give the audience a better vantage point to see the show? We didn’t until just now! And all those scenic backdrops and background props? Those were all painted by scenic artists who not only worked on Disney World attractions but Disney motion pictures as well!

Carousel of Progress is a GREAT place to unwind!

As you may know if you’ve visited this attraction, the sets are small but communicate a LOT about the time period! From wires dangling outside to the bead and spoke fretwork on the porch, Imagineers spared no detail.
