Universal Just Brought Back a HUGE Restaurant Perk - Your Move Now, Disney World.

We were totally guilty of topping bars at quick-service restaurants taking advantage during the times before the 2020 park closures.

Multiple restaurants around Disney World and Universal Orlando had topping bars that you could utilize to customize your burgers, tacos, and more, but after the parks closed in 2020 due to COVID-19, we saw the majority of those topping bars go away. We know — a MAJOR bummer. However, now one has returned to a quick service spot in Universal Orlando, and we’re wondering if others will follow suit!

The Burger Digs is a quick service location in the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure that is known for having some pretty good burgers (as well as other options, too).

This location was home to a toppings bar before the 2020 closures, and we haven’t seen it return since…until NOW!

That’s right! After FIVE YEARS, the toppings bar is officially back and can be used by any guests dining at the restaurant. You’ll find tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles ready for you to grab to your heart’s content.

This is a pretty big step forward, as many guests were very upset to see these go away for so long. So now the question stands — will other quick-service restaurants follow suit?

Most notably, Cosmic Ray’s and Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn in Magic Kingdom was known for having toppings bars, and they were a big reason why many people would dine there. We’re crossing our fingers and hoping that we’ll see them return because we’ll rejoice just as much as everyone else!
