And that means we see the rides get updated, restaurants get refreshed, and yes, even bathrooms get a glow-up. While we’re usually keeping you up-to-date on refurbishments and closures, today, we’re here to celebrate an improvement worth talking about. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s talk about which project received our coveted “Most Improved” Disney World bathroom of 2024 award.

Out of all the updates that happened in 2024, we thought we’d highlight one that all of us can appreciate. We’re talking about what we consider to be THE “Most Improved” Disney World bathroom of 2024 – the newly reopened Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms at Magic Kingdom!

Let’s dive into why these Fantasyland facilities deserve their moment in the spotlight.

A Very Long Closure

First, a little backstory. If you visited Magic Kingdom anytime between late January 2024 and Christmas 2024, you may have noticed something missing: the restrooms near Pinocchio Village Haus were completely shuttered. That’s right, they closed on January 22nd, 2024, and didn’t reopen until December 26th, 2024. (That’s over 11 months!)

For nearly a year, guests navigating the hustle and bustle of Fantasyland had to trek elsewhere when nature called, which is a true challenge considering how crowded this area can get. But all that waiting has finally paid off, because these restrooms are so much better than before.

A Charming New Look

The updated Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms are an absolute delight, blending functionality with Fantasyland flair.

On the outside, the theming perfectly matches the restaurant’s whimsical Bavarian design, right down to the charming wooden signs marking the entrances.

These signs, labeled “Herren” (men) and “Damen” (women), add a touch of Old-World character that makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into Geppetto’s workshop.

And the upgrades don’t stop there. The interior is just as magical. Bright, colorful tiles now adorn the walls, bringing a cheerful, storybook vibe to what could otherwise be a mundane space.

Everything inside is brand new, from the shiny sinks and modern hand dryers to fresh utilities that make the bathroom not just beautiful but also practical.

There’s even a revamped baby changing station for parents, complete with charming tile accents.

Functional and Fabulous

The new layout is designed to handle the heavy foot traffic Fantasyland is known for. If you’ve ever braved Magic Kingdom on a busy day, you know how crucial it is to have restrooms that can keep up with the crowd, and these fit the bill.

Not only are they well-equipped, but they’re also conveniently located right near Pinocchio Village Haus, which makes making them an easy pit stop whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat or heading to “it’s a small world.”

And let’s face it, we’ve all had that moment in Disney World where we just need a quiet, clean space to regroup. These restrooms provide exactly that, with thoughtful touches that make them feel less like a theme park facility and more like a cozy, charming extension of the restaurant.

Why We Picked It

When it came time to pick our “Most Improved” Disney World bathroom of 2024, the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms were the clear winner. They didn’t just get a fresh coat of paint. They got a complete overhaul, making them one of the most charming and functional restrooms in the park.
