There are so many new and exciting offerings coming to Magic Kingdom.
It was finally revealed at D23 what lies beyond Big Thunder Mountain, and it is a Disney Villains Land! It was also announced at D23 that Tom Sawyer’s Island along with the Rivers of America will close to make way for two brand new ‘Cars’ themed attractions. But that is not all that is coming to Magic Kingdom; at Destination D23 last year, a Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge was announced, and today, we finally got more details of what is to come!
We got word of this brand new lounge in September of 2023. This new lounge will be in Adventureland and will help “extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.”
We were left with just some concept art and our imaginations of where this new lounge would go.
In June Tortuga Tavern closed and then re-opened in July as a gift shop called Tortuga Treasures. This new gift shop is temporary while construction is done on the usual Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop, Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar. This made us wonder if the location for this lounge would be where Tortuga Tavern is now.
At D23 in August we finally got more answers and were told that we can expect to dine in the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge by 2025.
But now, Disney has released even more details about the pirate-themed lounge. We have a NEW look at some updated concept art! The concept art shows a dining room area with a mixture of booth seats and tables, along with tons of pirate-y decor.
We are so excited to dine among fellow pirates when the lounge opens. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and tips!
A NEW Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Park Is Coming. No, This Isn’t a Drill
Are you excited about this new Pirates in the Caribbean Lounge? Let us know in the comments!
The pirate on the bar with anchor chandelier looks cool. The new art with people sitting around looks….mundane, normal, boring. Disappointed to say the least after two years, TWO YEARS!, since they announced the Pirate Lounge.
