FIRST LOOK: Disney World's NEW Restaurant Holds Surprise Soft Opening!

The time has finally come, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk was set to open originally in late 2023, but now, about a year later, it’s finally opening its doors. This is an extremely elegant establishment open with breakfast, lunch/dinner, and dessert options, and so much more. Let’s take a look inside for the first time!

The moment you step into The Cake Bake Shop, you’re met with elegance. It’s in the paint, the floors, the designs — everything. Honestly, for some, you may feel like you’ve just stepped into the most magical tea party of your life.

There are display cases filled with stunning desserts of all kinds on the bakery side of the store. Your jaw will drop seeing all the fantastic offerings — macarons, pies, desserts, and of course, the cakes!

For the soft opening on October 24th, the bakery section will be open from 7AM-11AM and dinner walk-ins will start at 4PM. No official grand opening has been confirmed as of writing.

When menus were first posted outside the restaurant, many fans were outraged by the prices. Since that backlash, those prices have changed. We’ll be trying a bunch of these menu items to let you know if it’s worth it so stay tuned for a review. Nevertheless, it’s worth stopping for a look inside!

There are also lots of different merchandise items you can purchase in the store as well. Things like baking/cooking books, stuffed animals, Pixie Glitter, and more. And you may be saying “Pixie Glitter? Why would I want Pixie Glitter?” Well, it’s because it has a special story! The Cake Bake Shop has a resident gray dragon, Brûlée, who flies around the bakery lights all the chandeliers, and spreads its pixie glitter over all the desserts when it flaps its wings.
