We have an update about a closure at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort that could impact your Disney World vacation!

Although don’t worry too much because Disney is giving us PLENTY of warning on this closure. In fact, the closure isn’t happening until 2026, so you have a bit of time to adjust if needed.
From January 2026 until late April 2026, the Surfboard Bay Pool and the kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will be closed for maintenance.

Although, don’t worry too much, even if you might be planning a trip to Disney World around that time. While the Surfboard Bay Pool and the kiddie pool will both be closed at All-Star Sports, you will still have plenty of options for pools.

The Grand Slam Leisure Pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports will still be open, and you will also be able to use the other pools throughout Disney’s All-Star Resorts. This means you can use the Calypso Pool, Piano Pool and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and the Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.

It is great that Disney is providing notice of this closure so far in advance. While it can be frustrating if something is closed during your trip, it is always good to know it will be closed ahead of time. Even if you are planning to stay at All-Star Sports during this time, there will still be one pool open at the resort and plenty of pool to choose from at the other All-Star Resorts.

There may be some construction noise during the day, and you will likely be able to see people working on the pool. However, Disney does try their best to keep disruptions to a minimum while construction work is ongoing.
