NEWS: A Major PERK Is Returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios

If there’s one thing we love, it’s Disney World after dark!

Disney World in the daytime is magical and fun, but after dark, the parks just transform into something entirely different. With everything lit up in mood lighting, typically lower crowds, and nighttime spectaculars to watch, it’s one of the best times to be in the parks. And if you want to stay EXTRA late during your vacation, we’ve got some important news!

Extended Evening Hours are a perk offered to people staying at one of Disney World’s deluxe resorts (AKA, Disney’s fanciest and most expensive hotels). On select nights each week, Disney will keep one of the four theme parks open late for ONLY guests of those hotels, and they’ll be able to enjoy popular rides with shorter wait times and a park that’s a lot more empty than it is during the daytime.

Most often, Extended Evening Hours are offered at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. However, we’ve seen them available at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios seasonally in the past. And now, they’re coming back to one of those parks!

Starting in September, Extended Evening Hours will once again be available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The calendar in the My Disney Experience app was updated to show Extended Evening Hours from 9PM to 11PM on September 25th.

That’s currently as far as the calendar goes, so we don’t know yet if this is a one-off or if Hollywood Studios will be available every week for a while. We’ll have to wait and see!

The crowds disappear during Extended Evening Hours

During Extended Evening Hours in the past, we’ve been able to get quite a bit done! Two hours may not seem like much, but when the wait times are short, you can hop from ride to ride quickly and accomplish things you weren’t able to do during the daytime.
