There is no lack of places to discover while you are visiting Disney World with four theme parks, two water parks, and more than 25 hotels.

We are fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time at Disney World and we are always on the lookout for tips and tricks for our readers.
We are in the parks every day and that means we cover a lot of ground and also have the chance to discover our favorite routes through the park! We are not about gatekeeping here at AllEars, so we wanted to share some of our favorite pathways in Disney World.

While you may not consider all of these a “shortcut” perse, we love these pathways because they help you get away from crowded areas and enjoy a bit of peace. So let’s dive into some of our favorite walkways!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We are starting off in Animal Kingdom! This park is beautifully landscaped and there are quite a few trails you can also explore including the Discovery Island Trails, Maharajah Jungle Trek Trail, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. Additionally, you can hop aboard the Wildlife Express Train to check out Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

However, we are going to focus on some pathways that aren’t the already established trails that take you through wildlife exhibits. One of our favorite pathways connects the Africa and Asia areas. You can find it running parallel to the main pathway, but you will likely discover that there are far fewer people on this trail. It doesn’t really cut off anytime on your trek, but it is pretty and less occupied!

Next up, is a pathway that you may have already been on, but it is still one of our favorites. This is the pathway that connects Africa to Pandora. If you keep walking all the way past “Festival of the Lion King” you will be walking on this pathway. Even though it is one of the main pathways in Animal Kingdom, we have never found it to be crowded on this path. Instead, it is usually very calm and peaceful to walk on.

Those are two of our favorites in Animal Kingdom, so let’s park hop over to EPCOT now!
EPCOT
There are a lot of ways to make your way through EPCOT, including deciding whether you are going to start in Mexico or Canada when you begin your journey around World Showcase. We highly recommend exploring as much of EPCOT as you can manage as you never know what you might discover.

One of our favorite hidden pathways in EPCOT can be found by the Mexico Pavilion. You will find the pathway to the right-hand side of the pavilion if you are facing it. It is technically the wheelchair ramp to get inside of the pavilion, but anyone is welcome to use it. The walkway almost feels like you have been transported into a rainforest, and during the Flower & Garden Festival you can usually find an orchid display here.

Now let’s check out one of our favorite pathways in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios always feels a bit more choppy than most of the other parks. While you could consider the Chinese Theater the hub of the park, it is not laid out quite as systemically as the other parks. However, we also feel like that adds a special charm to this park!

In Hollywood Studios, one of our favorite pathways to take advantage of is the walkway that goes in front of ABC Commissary. We especially like this path when you notice that the “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular” or “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” shows are dumping. Both of these shows dump onto the Echo Lake area and it can feel overwhelming if you are walking through the area. We recommend using this pathway to avoid the crowds!

Last but not least, let’s head over to Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom
We have quite a few pathways in Magic Kingdom that we really like to utilize. Most of them help us to avoid some of the more crowded areas, but we also have one that is perfect for a rest stop.

Our first favorite pathway is the boardwalk area that goes through Frontierland. You will probably notice that it parallels the main pathway, so you can still get to the same spots, but there are usually fewer people on this path and you can have a pretty view of the water.

Next up, is a shortcut and rest stop built into one. This shortcut can help you quickly get from the intersection of Frontierland and Liberty Square to Adventureland. Plus, as you are headed through there are restrooms, water fountains, and a FuelRod exchange station.

Finally, another one of our favorite pathways is the path that connects TRON Lightcycle / Run to Storybook Circus. It is a nice walk and you will probably only see a few other groups during your trek. This pathway is a great way to get a short break from the crowds.

That wraps up some of our favorite pathways in Disney. We always love sharing our favorite Disney World tips with you, and if you are looking for even more tips, make sure you check out our video that has some NEW Disney World tips for you:
