One thing I love about being an Annual Passholder is that APs get discounts and perks that other guests don’t (like FREE PARKING — HALLELUJAH). But Annual Passholders don’t get ALL the discounts out there — Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members also get some hefty perks that Passholders AND regular guests don’t get to take advantage of in Disney World.

Many DVC members are also Annual Passholders, so these Disney-goers get DOUBLE the perks (Jealous? Me? Never. 👀), and Disney has announced a new reason why DVC members will want to make sure they’re in Disney World late July into August — Welcome Home Weeks are HERE!
Welcome Home Weeks will take place from July 22nd through August 24th and will solely focus on celebrating DVC members in a variety of ways!

For the first time ever, DVC members will be able to experience special events, tasty treats, and exciting experiences JUST for them.

Not all the exclusive experiences have been announced yet, but we do know DVC members can get a FREE Mickey Premium Bar, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich, or Fruit Bar during select times and at specific locations:
- Mondays and Tuesdays between 11AM and 2PM at the Tower of Terror Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting July 22nd
- Thursdays and Fridays between 1-4PM at Upper Bradley Falls in Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting July 25th
- At Star View Station – a Member Lounge in Disneyland on July 23rd, August 6th, and August 20th from 2PM-4PM
- At Golden Vine House at Disney California Adventure on July 30th and August 13th from 1-4PM

Members can also get free coffee and a morning treat at Top of the World Lounge (Contemporary Resort) and Reunion Station (Wilderness Lodge) from 10-11AM starting July 27th, AND at Discovery Den at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel on July 25th, August 8th, and August 22nd.

A wine mixer is also being offered at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa’s Wedding Garden on July 31st and August 14th from 4:30-5:30PM!

You’ll also have the chance to have special meet and greet experiences at multiple different areas, such as:
- A Frozen meet and greet at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (Ballroom Fantasia J) on July 22nd, July 23rd, July 29th, July 30th, August 12th, and August 13th from 11AM-3PM
- A sketch artist and dance party at Sleeping Beauty Pavilion in the Disneyland Hotel on July 22nd and August 19th from 2-4PM
- A pirate-themed event with a Disney pal on the Pool Deck at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort on Thursdays starting July 25th from 7PM to dusk
- Visits from Disney friends and a pool party at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort AND fireworks at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina on Tuesdays starting July 23rd — 6PM until fireworks end

Daily, starting July 22nd, members can also get FREE ice cream at the Disney Vacation Club Preview Center at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa from 11AM to 5PM! Limited to one free ice cream per person per week.

Disney’s Aulani Resort is even getting in on the fun with free lei-making and hula lessons on the Hālāwai Lawn on July 25th, August 1st, and August 15th from 9-10AM and 12-1PM. You can also experience complimentary tote stamping and ukulele lessons on July 23rd, July 30th, August 13th, August 20th (at Kīpuka Lawn), and August 8th (in Kaiona Ballroom) at the same times.

Lastly, DVC members can also get a one-time 20% discount on a mobile order (not including tax)! We know that’s a lot to take in, but you’ve still got some time to plan out what you can take advantage of on your trip during this time frame.

I wouldn’t call these MAJOR Perks. Major perks were 10-12 yrs ago, when DVC members could purchase a yearly pass( which included both water parks and golf course) for $499.00. THAT was a MAJOR PERK! Today, if you’re a Florida Resident or DVC member, discount on annual pass is the same.
This is great……… for those able to travel to the parks during this time 🙁
