Honestly, Quincy’s Can-Can Performance Alone Should Convince You To Visit Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

AllEars Quincy and Emma just had some WILD adventures, and we’re not talking about a typical park day in Disney World. There were fish involved. There was a shoe tree. (We’ll explain later) There was even a dinner show, with an extra special surprise. It was a whirlwind, trust us.

Fort Wilderness Resort

When you step foot into Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, you’re not just at a regular Disney Resort. You’re transported to the great outdoors. You’re camping with s’mores, driving golf carts, and listening to the crickets. It’s glorious. Let us show you!

Disney Vacation Planner

Recently, Disney invited us to check out the updated DVC Cabins at Fort Wilderness. The room was bright, light, and fun, and our staycation was AMAZING. We had SO much fun!

OK, so what’s the big deal about camping? Well, this isn’t regular camping. It’s DISNEY camping. That means you might spot a chipmunk in your travels!

Campfire Sing Along

During our visit, we took a little trip out on the Seven Seas Lagoon with Captain Paul to go fishing!  As you can see, Quincy caught a big one! In fact, she ended up catching TWO fish during the excursion — impressive, eh?

Quincy caught a fish!

OK, we need to be honest. We had a BLAST catching fish with our instructor, Paul. Our boat was camped right in front of Magic Kingdom, so we had amazing views AND a relaxing day on the water.

We had a BLAST!

During our fishing excursion, we even passed by the iconic shoe tree! What’s a shoe tree? Exactly what it sounds like. When boat captains and other Cast Members retire, they can throw their shoes into the tree — talk about a memorable sendoff! This tree is located across from Wilderness Lodge — if you look closely, you’ll see all kinds of shoes hanging from the branches.

Shoe Tree!

Captain Paul also showed us the super secret bat house that keeps local bats away from campers. Bet you didn’t know THIS existed in Disney World!

There’s the bat house!

OK, now for our favorite part. We enjoyed a meal at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, an energetic and fun music-and-comedy revue accompanied by a BIG feast of classic American menu items like House-made Cornbread and Crispy-fried Chicken.

YUM!

Of course, the food was great. But the entertainment…TOP NOTCH! In fact, Quincy had a feature role. Yes, we laughed. Yes, it was amazing. Should Quincy become a professional Can-Can dancer? What do you think?

🚨WARNING🚨 eating at Hoop-Dee-Doo means you’ll 100% have the time of your life BUT you might also have to give the performance of your life 😂 what would you do?? #disney #disneyworld #disneyresorts #disneyresort #disneyplanning #disneycreator #disneymagic #disneytips #disneyvacation #disneyparks #disneytiktok #disneyeats #disneydining #disneyvacationclub #ThatMagicalFeeling #hosted

  1. I lol’d at “keeping bats away from campers”. The bats are used as insect control to keep BUGS away from campers!
