Parking at Disney World can be your last step before fully immersing yourself in a day in the parks, but we know that sometimes the Disney World parking lots can be a little annoying, especially if you are parking at Magic Kingdom.

We go to Disney World every day, which means we also park at Disney World every day and have thought about things that the parking lots at the parks urgently need.
It can be so fun to park in the row of your favorite character or even animal. You park in the Dory lot in EPCOT, and you are just so excited to start your day in the park, that like Dory, you forget what lot and row you are parked in.

It happens to the best of us! The My Disney Experience app has a feature called “Car Locator” where you can put the information of where you parked to remind you at the end of the day. There is signage to use this feature, and the Cast Members on the tram will also remind you to use it.

Well, using a Car Locator requires quite a few steps, and it is much faster to just take out your smartphone and take a quick picture of the sign where you parked. Maybe we are just forgetful, but we also wish Disney would add signage about taking a picture of where you are parked as well since sometimes we find ourselves giving up with Car Locator since it is so many more steps.

Even better, we wish Car Locator could just drop a pin of where you parked rather than having to input the information yourself to find it at the end of your park day.

The Animal Kingdom parking lots use Animals to distinguish where you parked. Just like in the other parks when you reach the end of the row, it says your row number. The problem with Animal Kingdom is that is the only place where you will see your row number.

In the other park’s parking lots, there is more signage as you go down to tell you where you parked. Not only is this extra signage helpful in reminding you to either take a picture or use Car Locator to remember where your car is, but it also makes it so much easier to find your car at the end of the day.

For example, in EPCOT, you can find the signs for row numbers and characters in the middle and at the beginning/end of the rows. This extra signage can make it much easier to spot your car when everyone is also leaving the park looking for theirs.

If you drive an electric vehicle, you may want to charge it while you go and play in the parks. Disney uses the app ChargePoint to locate and see which charging spaces are open. While this app is a great tool for finding charging spots, spots around the resort are very limited. With electric cars becoming more popular, we hope that Disney World starts to add more charging spots.

As of right now, there are five charging spaces at Magic Kingdom. One is in the Medical Lot, and four are at the front of the Zurg Lot. At EPCOT, there are four charging spaces in the front of the Hei Hei Lot. At Hollywood Studios, there are four spaces in the front of the Mickey Lot. Finally, in Animal Kingdom, there are four charging spaces, all in the Medical Lot.

Not only do the parks have charging spaces but so do some resorts as well as Disney Springs.

At Disney Springs you will find 13 charging spots. There are three on the 5th floor of the Orange Garage, three on the 3rd floor of the Grapefruit Garage, and four in the Watermelon Lot, which is the surface lot near the Cirque du Soleil theater.

As for resorts, the charging spaces can be found at the Rivera Resort, Coronado Springs Resort, and finally the Wilderness Lodge. As electric cars become increasingly popular, we hope that Disney will add more spaces to the current lots and chargers across all the resorts.

Parking at Disney World is the last step before you get to play in the parks and we hope that Disney starts implementing these three things in the parking lots to make parking a breeze! As always, stay tuned to AllEars.net for more!

And shade. The Cincinnati Zoo years ago added metal awnings with solar panels to the parking lots. Now the zoo has an additional revenue stream from selling power to the city–and the visitors are thrilled that their cars don’t bake in the sun.
This is a good idea in Ohio–it is a much better one in Florida.
