We’re getting SO close to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World!

The Princess and the Frog ride replaced Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom, and we’ve been soaking up the details about the new ride for months, getting sneak peeks of everything from the storyline to the songs to the animatronics. But now, some people will get to EXPERIENCE the ride early! Yep, that’s right — previews have been announced!
Disney World announced that Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club members, D23 Members, and Cast Members will be available for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before its official opening.

Previews for Annual Passholders will take place on June 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th! To snag a preview, Annual Passholders will first need to make a park reservation at Magic Kingdom on their chosen preview date and attempt to join the 7AM virtual queue. Don’t worry if you don’t get the 7AM one, there will also be another opportunity at 1PM to try to join the virtual queue for later in the day. The request to join the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be found in the same virtual queue section in the My Disney Experience app. Just as a general reminder though, requesting the virtual queue for a preview does not guarantee you an opportunity to ride.
Preview participants requesting to join a virtual queue will only be able to once per day, but, however, opting to snag this virtual queue doesn’t knock you out of others! You’ll be able to hold virtual queues for a preview of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure AND TRON Lightcycle/Run or Cosmic Rewind. As a reminder, those looking to take advantage of the previews for Annual Passholders will need to enter the park in which they have a valid reservation first before going to Magic Kingdom — except for on June 13th, 14th, 17th, 18th, or 20th after 2PM.

Disney Vacation Club members will have the opportunity to preview before Annual Passholders though! DVC previews will take place on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 between 1 PM to 4 PM, and Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 between 9 AM to 12 PM. Registration for eligible DVC members opens on Thursday, May 16th at 10 AM and members will need to keep an eye on their emails or look to the News & Alerts section on the Disney Vacation Club website. Pre-registration will be required and availability is expected to fill up quickly!

Here’s what you need to know to be eligible as a DVC member for this preview. Members must hold a qualifying Disney hotel reservation using their DVC Membership. The total number of hotel guests on your hotel reservation including yourself as the DVC member as of May 12th on that hotel stay, must have valid park admission and park reservations to Magic Kingdom on the day of the preview events (unless otherwise noted on your admission type.) Members can make ONE reservation for themselves and the number of people on their hotel reservation as of May 12th at 11:59PM ET.
Here are a few other helpful things to keep in mind:
- Advance preview registration is required for this event and walk-ups will not be accommodated.
- A valid Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card and photo ID are required at event check-in. The Member listed on the Digital Membership Card must be in attendance.
- Must have the Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card downloaded to a mobile device’s wallet to check in for the event.
- Offering and operating hours are subject to availability, closures, and change or cancellation without notice. Entry to the preview is not guaranteed.
- Attendees younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.

Additionally, D23 members will get their chance to take a plunge down Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before it opens as well! A separately ticketed event will be offered to D23 Gold Members who will be able to ride the attraction over and over again…

…and then take some time to enjoy the enchanting evening ambiance of the bayou with live jazz performances and tasty treats available during this celebration of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. More information about this event, where to book, and its cost will be available soon on the D23 events website here.

Last but certainly not least Disney World Cast Members will also have their chance to catch a ride soon, too! Cast Member previews have been announced for June 3rd through the 7th and June 23rd through the 26th. Each Cast Member is allowed to bring a maximum of two people with them and registration for these previews begins May 20th on the Cast Life Events page.

Keep in mind, Disney has noted that Cast Member previews must be enjoyed during personal time and Cast Members are only allowed ONE preview experience. Registration for each date will close 2 days prior to each day or whenever registration reaches capacity for a date (whichever comes first).
