We’re almost there! It’s almost time to hang out with Tiana in the bayou — we can just feel it.

We haven’t yet gotten word on an official opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but with all the news we’ve gotten lately regarding the critters, ride testing, and animatronics being spotted in the ride, we have a feeling we’ll get an opening timeline soon. Previously, the ride was set to open in late 2024, but Disney shared earlier this year that the ride would open in the summer. Well, we may not have an official opening timeline, but we do have a clue!
As you may already know, new rides at Disney World usually have previews where a select few groups of people can go on the ride before it’s actually open. There are Cast Member previews, typically followed by Disney Vacation Club and D23 previews, and finally, there are Annual Passholder previews. However, there are also MEDIA PREVIEWS!

Media previews are when media teams are invited to check out the ride, and Disney announced when media previews for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take place.
Media previews will take place in “mid-June,” so the very first riders will be able to experience the attraction then! With this news, we can probably assume that the official opening will be in July or very early August.

Disney has shared that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will pick up the story of The Princess and the Frog “after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.”

The story of the attraction, as Disney shares, picks up during New Orleans’ Carnival season, and Tiana is hosting a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans — the community that has supported her successful restaurant. (The storyline is set about a year after the movie.) But Tiana realized that the party is “missing a key ingredient” and she needs help finding it. That’s where we come in! We have to journey through the Bayou with Tiana and Louis to find that missing element!

We’re so excited for the official announcement to come, and we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we have that announcement. Make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing.
