NEWS: Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes SOLD OUT at Multiple Disney World Parks

Today has been a  BIG day at Disney World already… and we’re not even past breakfast hours yet!

Genie+ Lightning Lane

We’re used to seeing heavier crowds during certain times of the year when we anticipate more people visiting like spring break, and from time to time the parks can have a rough start to the morning, but what we’ve already seen so early today has really shocked us!

UPDATE: As of 12:13PM EPCOT’s individual Genie+ option has sold out and Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the only option left to purchase.

If you’re visiting Disney World during heavier crowd days you’re probably already weighing a hefty decision. Should you spend the extra money to help with the standby lines using Genie+? This tool can be super beneficial for you in allowing you to make a reservation in advance for the attractions you want to experience throughout the day and wait in the lightning lanes to skip the standby lines.

However, if you found yourself weighing that decision early this morning and are just now at a place to make that decision comfortably, your indecision could have cost you! Genie+ options were already sold out very early this morning shortly after going on sale.  We’ve already seen the multi-park option for those with park hopper tickets and the single-park option for Disney’s Hollywood Studios sell out for the day.

But wait, that’s not all! Several attractions around each of the parks are also eligible for a separate purchase outside of the Genie+ bundle known as Individual Lightning Lanes and we’ve seen those already sold out as well!  So far Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

This isn’t the only massive change you’ll find this morning. In addition to all the buzz around Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes, transportation into Magic Kingdom could test your patience a bit.

That’s a crowd

One of our reporters confirmed with a Cast Member that visitors should anticipate about 25 minutes between ferry boats today because there is only one running. Naturally, this means the monorail is very busy and the TTC is running buses to help people get to Magic Kingdom as quickly as possible.

Take the bus today

If you choose to take the ferryboat today, that could cost you about 35 to 40 minutes of your valuable time.
