One of the MOST popular experiences within all of Disney World is located inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Yep, we’re talking about Kilimanjaro Safaris! This attraction will take you through the savanna of the Animal Kingdom park and resort area where you’ll have a chance to see REAL African animals like elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, and more. The waits are typically pretty long in the mornings, as that is the BEST time to go for a chance to see all the beautiful animals. Well, if you’ll be visiting Disney World soon and are hoping to enjoy the safari, don’t let this update catch you off guard.
The hours of operation are CHANGING soon for this popular ride! Starting March 10th, Kilimanjaro Safaris will be open until 6:45 PM.
Previously, the ride closed each day at 5:45. We thought that this could be due to Daylight Savings Time ending on the 10th, but on March 17th, the closing time goes back to 6PM.
The good news is that regardless of these hour changes, it’ll still be easier than before to spot some animals, as it’ll still be daylight! An end to our seasonal depression AND a better chance to see some animals? We call that a win-win.
