You’re Going to the WRONG Disney World Park for the Best Snacks

What’s a trip to Disney World without some amazing snacks?

Animal Kingdom Entrance

Sure, people come to the parks for the rides, the entertainment, and the ambiance, but the food is an attraction on its own! We are constantly trying new restaurants and letting you know what’s up with food in Disney World. So that’s why we had to tell you that you’re snacking at the WRONG park!

Hear us out — we know Corn Dog Nuggets are a staple in Magic Kingdom, people love to eat around the world at EPCOT, and the Wookiee Cookie and Ronto Wraps are a must at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But actually, we think Animal Kingdom is one of the best parks for snacking!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The ratio between table service restaurants and snack stands is interesting in Animal Kingdom — there are WAY more snack spots than you might think! Let’s make our way around the park and take a look at some of the best snacks you can grab around Animal Kingdom.

Discovery Island

When you walk into Animal Kingdom and see the Tree of Life, you’re officially on Discovery Island! Go to the right and you’ll find Eight Spoon Cafe which serves some of our favorite mac and cheese in all of Disney World.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork

Although it’s not our favorite thing here, Eight Spoon Cafe also has a Pulled Pork Jelly Doughnut Sandwich. You don’t get to try that every day!

To the left of the Tree of Life, you’ll find Terra Treats. You can grab different types of pizza at this stand! Here’s a look at the Buffalo Chicken Pizza — cue the drooling.

Pandora: World of Avatar

The newest land in Animal Kingdom is Pandora and while Flight of Passage is the biggest pull in this land, the food is not to be missed! At Satu’li Canteen, the quick service restaurant in this land, you can snack on some Cheeseburger Pods. This isn’t exactly a snack stand, but these are too iconic to leave out of the list!

Right outside that restaurant is the Pongu Pongu snack stand. You can eat a pretzel the size of your face…

…and the Pongu Lumpia which is a spring roll with pineapple and cream cheese. It’s not for everyone, but it has become a favorite for many people in the park!

Africa

Dole Whip fans! Tamu Tamu Refreshments is the place for you! Grab a refreshing Dole Whip soft serve or float, or if you’re over 21, you can add hard cider or rum.

Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery is for those of you with a sweet tooth — but there are savory options as well! There are several pastries, some flatbreads, and a chicken wrap.

Asia

If you make just one stop to snack in Asia, make it Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries. The stand is hiding on the walkway between Africa and Asia, but believe us, you don’t want to miss it! It’s just under $7 for a shareable portion, but we don’t blame you if you refuse to share.

In the mood for some simple ice cream? Snag it from the Anandapur Ice Cream TruckThis spot has a yeti-themed sundae.

DinoLand U.S.A.

Speaking of ice cream, we highly recommend going to Dino-Bite Snacks over at DinoLand U.S.A. There’s a delicious ice cream cookie sandwich that you can customize with your favorite flavors!

Trilo-Bites is the last stop on our journey in this post, and it’s really all for the Buffalo Chicken Chips! The house-made chips are topped with buffalo chicken, blue cheese dressing, and tomato and celery relish. YUM.
