WARNING! This ONE Overlooked Rule Will Get You Dress Coded at Disney World

Dressing up to visit the Disney World parks can be an adventure in and of itself!

We love Disneybounding to the Disney World parks all the time! But if you’re considering dressing up as your favorite character, or villain, or just feeling extra fancy for the day, there are a few rules you’ll need to keep in mind.

One of the most embarrassing things that could happen at the Disney World park entrance is getting up to the gate to scan in, and then realizing you’re breaking their rules. Yes, you! You’ve been planning, prepping, maybe even sewing and gluing for days or weeks in preparation for building the perfect outfit only to have it be the reason you’re not allowed into the park.

The reason you’re not allowed to enter might not be so obvious at first. Let’s take a second to revisit Disney World’s official dress code:

Ok, so you’re not wearing anything profane, revealing, or even dressed up like a character… so what could it be? Well, if you look at this one tiny rule you might see why.

Ahh, there it is! This rule prohibits dresses that touch or drag along the ground when worn from being admitted into the park.

Chances are though if a Cast Member is taking the time to stop you before entering the park they will be giving you a reason why they’re stopping you and how (if possible) an alteration can be made to your outfit that would fit the dress guidelines for the park.

We’re always looking for Disney-inspired outfits that you can wear to the park (that are totally within Disney World guidelines.) Check back in with us at AllEars for the latest in Disney news, trends, and more!
