Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a special place in our hearts!

From the classic attractions to the amazing animals, there are so many things that make this park special. That being said, there are 6 things we are quite literally begging you not to do when you’re in this park!
When it comes to visiting Disney World, there are tons of different choices you can make for you and your group to have the best time possible. There are also some things we are literally begging you to stop doing in Animal Kingdom, some of which are for your actual safety!

Starting off light, Disney Dads… could we maybe work in finding a new uniform? If you aren’t aware, apparently, there’s only one shirt that Dads can wear when they’re in Animal Kingdom. If you’re tired of this shirt.. please look away.

You might think that we’re exaggerating, but when you go to Animal Kingdom, keep your eyes peeled, and you will see a sea of these Disney Dad uniforms. We’re begging you to test out a new uniform. We’ve even made jokes about this over on our Instagram because it’s such an epidemic.
The second thing we’re begging you to do is stop feeding the birds! Disney has signs throughout the park reminding us not to feed the birds, and yet we have all decided to become Mary Poppins herself. (Please tell me you know the song “Feed the Birds”!)

Not only is it bad for them, it’s also bad for the guests! Animals aren’t meant to ingest our food, plus it encourages bad behavior from the birds. We aren’t joking when we say that these white birds have literally jumped on the table and stolen our Flame Tree BBQ pulled pork fries.

Our next request? Stop letting your kids climb the fences! This is an issue we’ve seen time and time again in Animal Kingdom. Kiddos want to see the animals up close, and they will start climbing to get a better view. Trust us, we get it! The animals are so cute!

However, no amount of cuteness is worth potentially harming yourself. We’ve seen it too many times. Kids love the animals, they start climbing, and boom! A slip, a cry, and a trip to First Aid will follow. Be mindful and make sure that the climbing stops. The rocks are tempting, but it isn’t worth it.

Speaking of safety, we’re begging you to keep your seats during the Kilimanjaro Safari ride! If you didn’t know, you cannot stand up during the safari ride for safety purposes, however, most of our rides are halted because people love to get on their feet.

The safari guides have to stop the ride the moment they see anyone stand up because it is a real moving vehicle. The ride isn’t on track, and you are surrounded by real animals, so any chance of someone going overboard is something Disney takes seriously.

I know we all want to see, but again, safety is way more important than a better view. So let’s keep our butts in those seats!

While we’re talking about animals, we’re begging you to stop hogging those babies! If you don’t know, one of the most popular attractions at Animal Kingdom right now is Baby Bakso. Bakso is one of the newest babies in the theme park, and we have fallen in love.

He is adorable, but when we say lines were long, they were getting long! We were seeing a huge change in the rope drop strategy at this park because people were so excited to get a glimpse of him. We did the same, however, we’re begging you not to spend too much time with him!

We’ve seen people spend long amounts of time standing by the windows waiting to see the baby tiger, holding up the line for other people waiting. We get it, you want to see the baby, but everyone needs to be considerate of one another as well.

Finally, we are begging you to stop filling up the Nomad Lounge walk-up list! Nomad Lounge is one of our favorite spots in Animal Kingdom thanks to the amazing atmosphere, great drinks, and tasty food.

This spot offers no reservations and operates as a “first-come, first-served” situation. If you guys keep filling up the walk-up wait list before us, then we can’t get in! Obviously, we’re joking, but what if we aren’t? How are we supposed to get the best churros in Disney World?

We adore Animal Kingdom, especially with all of the upcoming changes! DinoLand U.S.A. is closing to make way for Pueblo Esperanza, a new Zootopia show is premiering in Winter 2025, and there are more and more babies being born. In all seriousness, if you want to wear the shirt or head to Nomad Lounge, we get it! The other things, though? Cut it out! It’ll make your day, and other people’s even better!
