The Magic Kingdom Rides That CHANGE During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We attended the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the entire year!

We’ve been enjoying the party bringing you updates on just about everything — the parade, the crowds, the free stuff, and even a surprise character appearance! But now it’s time to talk about rides because some of them change during the party. Let’s check it out!

We have to talk about the most popular overlay in the parks — it’s the Jingle Cruise! It’s the same punny boat ride you know and love but with a holiday twist.

The overlay is not only available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party but you can also ride it during the day! Be warned — it is very popular and this was the longest line all night beating out Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

That’s a fight we don’t want to get between.

Tomorrowland Speedway also has a holiday overlay! Here’s a look at the nighttime lighting — you’ll see decorative trees as you drive along the track.

One of our favorites is over at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor! This hilarious attraction has some holiday touches for the party.

There are even snowflakes projected in the seating area!

Mad Tea Party doesn’t have different lighting, however, the soundtrack has switched to Christmas music! This ride was a walk-on almost all night.

Space Mountain may not look like it has an overlay from the outside, but a Cast Member confirmed that it is “bright and loud” on the inside. The wait time was only 25 minutes when we stopped by around 10:30PM.
