Good News About a NEW Restaurant Coming to Disney World

Quite a few NEW restaurants are coming to Disney World soon, and we’ve got good news about one of them!

Over at Disney Springs, Summer House on the Lake is set to open in 2023. This spot will feature outdoor patios; sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and a dessert-focused market; a special brunch menu; a signature “Rosé Cart; and MUCH more! We’ve been watching for construction updates on this spot but now we’ve got particularly good news!

In a post shared via Instagram, Summer House invited people to be part of the opening team for this new restaurant. They are offering “open calls” Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10AM to 7PM for all positions.

To attend these open calls, you’ll enter next to City Works Eatery & Pour House and check in with a manager there. You can apply for the positions online by visiting the Summer House website.

There are a variety of positions available — from prep cooks and bakers to hosts, servers, and bartenders.

The application website talks a bit more about the restaurant and how it’ll be open daily for lunch and dinner, with brunch served on the weekends. It’ll have a California-inspired menu, 3 outdoor patios, an in-house bakery, an extensive drink list, and more.

Now, it’s important to note that the Summer House on the Lake building is still very much under construction at Disney Springs and has a ways to go before it’ll be done.

But the fact that they are actively seeking employees for the restaurant is a good sign at least that things are moving in the right direction — toward an opening at some point in the (hopefully not-too-distant) future!

An opening date has NOT been shared for this new restaurant, but it is expected to open in 2023. There are only a few months left in the year, so we’ll continue to watch for updates and let you know what we find.
