Disney Springs has some BIG changes coming.
It seems like there are a lot of changes happening over at Disney Springs. We just saw this store suddenly close. We saw Trend D recently get a whole new look. The Flavors of Florida event is happening right now for a limited time at Springs, which includes new food options. We also just reported that a new restaurant is coming soon.
On July 18th, Disney announced that a new Indian restaurant, EET by Maneet Chauhan, would be coming to Disney Springs and we’re here to break down everything we know about it. First, here is the restaurant’s logo where you can see an elephant holding a spoon with its trunk as well as the words “Modern Indian”.
Background Information
Maneet Chauhan, an acclaimed James Beard Award-winning chef and Food Network Star, and Vivek Deora, an international hospitality entrepreneur have teamed up to bring this restaurant to Disney World. Maneet Chauhan was the first Indian female to ever compete on Iron Chef and is now a full-time judge on the Food Network’s show, Chopped.
Vivak Deora is actually Chauhan’s husband. He is an international hospitality entrepreneur. He is also the Chief Executive Officer behind the Morph Hospitality Group which was established in 2016 and is the team behind restaurants including Chauhan Ale & Masala House in Nashville, TN, as well as The Mockingbird and Tansuo.
Featured Cuisine
Disney revealed that the restaurant will bring “famed Indian cuisine“. They also shared that it will be a”modern, fun Indian-inspired concept”.
What Could the Menu Look Like?
In 2014, Chef Chauhan opened Chauhan Ale & Masala House in Nashville, Tennessee. Here, the restaurant’s menu is “perfectly combining Indian fare with traditional Southern dishes“. Here’s a look at the menu from Chauhan Ale & Masala House and this could give us an idea of what could be to come to Springs. First, Appetizers include Tandoori Chicken Poutine and Cremini Mushroom Toast.
Entrees feature Braised Pork Shank, Tandoori Chicken, and Chicken Kababs.
Breads include Garlic Parmesan Naan and Whole Wheat Tandoori Roti.
Finally, they have some fun cocktails on the menu including Mezz Around and Taj Mule.
While we wait for the official menu for EET to be released, we can hope to see some of these flavors to be brought to the new restaurant.
Opening Timeline
Disney has not shared an official date, however, they did share that it will be open “later this year”.
As more information is shared about the upcoming restaurant, we will be sure to report it. For more, keep following AllEars.net.
