These Will Be the Hardest Disney World Hotel Reservations To Get in 2024

Listen, we know. Planning for a Disney World vacation can be stressful!

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

You have to make sure you have all the travel essentials, you need the best flights, and don’t get us started on the hotel. Actually, that’s exactly what we wanted to talk about. You’ve seen the many renovation and construction projects that are in progress right now, which is great because that means you’ll have brand new accommodations to choose from, but there’s going to be a TON of competition. So, let’s discuss which of the hotels will be the hardest to get reservations for next year.

Blink and it will be 2024. Can you believe it? Thinking about how close we are to the new year probably has you frantically working on your travel plans for 2024, but don’t let the stress get to you. We’ve got your back! We’ve brought you a list of some of the most difficult hotel reservations in the new year. The hotels that made it on this list made it due to the renovations and refurbishments that are in progress and set to open next year.

Let’s dive in!

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

First up, let’s talk about Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The cabins are getting an overhaul. Check out the concept art Disney shared for the new look, which is much more modern.

As part of this change, Disney is building more than 350 new cabins to replace the old ones. They haven’t shared a look inside the cabins yet, but we can imagine that they’ll be all the rage when they open in 2024.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Next up, Disney’s Beach Club Resort joins this list because it is getting some room updates as well. Take a look at the new flooring and the Donald Duck-inspired beach design we spotted when we got a tour.

The room we visited was home to a King bed and a pull-out couch. There was also new Donald Duck artwork on the wall. He’s at Stormalong Bay!

Currently, it’s the Disney’s Beach Club Villas that are getting updated, but we’ll let you know if the regular rooms get the same treatment. As we said with Fort Wilderness, reservations for these rooms are going to fly like crazy when they’re done with the renovations.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Now, don’t forget about Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. They’re also getting a makeover with new restaurants outside on the BoardWalk, updates in the hotel rooms, and the lobby.

Disney shared a sneak peek at the updates coming to the rooms at the hotel, which include new furniture, color schemes, and a Mickey and Minnie decor theme.

The rooms are now decorated in pastels and have new laminate flooring. All of these transformations will certainly make reservations for the Boardwalk Inn extremely difficult to nab, so be prepared!

Other Resorts That Will Be Difficult Further On

Outside of those three, there are other updates that are in progress as well. And the updates at these will definitely make them difficult places to book when they’re done.

You’ll want to keep an eye on the Grand Floridian Resort’s guest rooms as they are getting updated. Here’s a peek into what the Disney Vacation Club rooms look like. We’ll update you when we know what the standard rooms look like.

Next, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be getting updates starting in 2024, which means there’ll be a while until those are ready. We’ll keep you posted on these ones.

Last, you already know about the brand-new Disney Vacation Club tower that’s being built at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Here’s the concept art. If the inside looks as good as the outside, we’re sure it’ll be stunning. We’ll update you as soon as we know more.

That’s all we have for you at the moment. Hopefully, that helps you in your trip planning. We’ll keep you in the loop on any other refurb and renovation projects and so stay tuned for all the latest.

  1. You know, I’m going to stay with the original DVC (now called Old Key West) because I want relaxing vacation. I can visit the parks or Disney Springs if I want action OR just watch the golfers from my balcony.
