For the first time in forever (or at least a few weeks), we’re back to revisit the status of a NEW Frozen-themed land coming to a Disney park. Are ya ready?
In case you’ve been locked in your room for years and years, concealing and not feeling, you may not be aware that Disney Imagineers are working on a place called World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland. This new land is expected to be pretty popular when it opens, so let’s check in on the construction progress!
World of Frozen will be Disney’s first Frozen-themed land across ANY of the Disney parks. It’s about time! The project is set to be completed in late 2023, and we can’t wait to check it out. So far, we know that the land will contain a new merchandise location, a quick-service restaurant, and a new attraction called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.
Disney has shared several updates along the way, including a peek at some of the concept art for Oaken’s Sliding Sleds. This attraction will be a family-friendly coaster that sends guests on an adventure; check out all the detail in the queue alone!
That’s not all! The popular Frozen Ever After attraction you may recognize from EPCOT is coming to World of Frozen, too!
Disney even shared a preview of Elsa’s Hong Kong debut. Isn’t this incredible?!

Recently, Michael E Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, took to Instagram to share a new look at the construction progress! We spy a castle in the background!
We even see what looks to be Anna and Elsa figures high atop the clock tower. This land looks super immersive; we keep finding new details to admire!
World of Frozen looks like it’s going to be an incredible addition to Hong Kong Disneyland. We can’t wait to learn more about it!

Can’t wait for the new world of Frozen. I’ve been a huge fan of the first Frozen movie since I first saw it. I hope we can go inside the ice palace that Elsa built on the north mountain. I also hope we can meet and greet Elsa and Anna in their Frozen 1 costumes. I love their Frozen 1 looks so much, so it would give me great joy to see them in their classic Frozen 1 outfits and iconic braids
