World of Frozen will be the world’s first Frozen themed land across any of the Disney parks. This expansion is set for completion in late 2023 and has been highly anticipated since its announcement. While most of this land will be new including merchandise locations, a quick service restaurant, Elsa’s ice palace, Arendale, and even a new family friendly coaster attraction — Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs — the park’s largest expansion will also be bringing with it a renowned attraction from Walt Disney World.

Frozen Ever After in EPCOT

Frozen Ever After was first brought to EPCOT to replace the Maelstrom attraction in the Norway pavilion of the World Showcase. Since its installment, guests have lined up for multi-hour lines consistently and seems to be a very popular attraction rounding out the EPCOT ride lineup. We’re sure its popularity and demand in Walt Disney World had something to do with introducing this attraction internationally. We’ve recently seen this done between Shanghai Disneyland and Walt Disney World with TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Walt Disney Imagineers recently debuted the incredible Elsa audio animatronic at a Hong Kong Disneyland FanFest event and brought us site construction updates. This may be one of the coolest animatronics Disney has made!

The section of the park known as Arendelle Village is nearly finished based on recent drone footage. The clock tower, Elsa’s Ice Palace on the North Mountain, and Arendelle Castle have brought World of Frozen to life and soon this picturesque scene will be fully realized. Disney Imagineers worked hard with the Walt Disney Animation Studios to perfect every aspect from costumes to design and storylines, ensuring that guests would be provided with an enriched storytelling experience and one that left a lasting impression.

It seems that Hong Kong Disneyland will be able to open the land on its current timeline as long as these updates keep coming in. Stay tuned for more World of Frozen updates from AllEars!
