Genie+ just saw some major changes in Disney World.
Since the FastPass replacement debuted in the parks in 2021, it has been controversial for many Disney adults. Disney recently announced that more changes would hit Genie+ to make it easier on guests which prompted the recent Genie+ price changes. The 4th of July is the first holiday since these changes, so let’s see what the pricing looks like in Disney World!
First, let’s break down what is different about Genie+ now. Previously, there was only one option to purchase Genie+ and the price changed each day depending on crowd levels and demand. Now, Genie+ prices still vary by day, but the pricing is broken down by park.
So that means you can purchase Genie+ for one park or you can choose the multi-park option (AKA the original Genie+ option). If Genie+ sells out in one park, the multi-park option will NOT be available, but you can still purchase it separately for the parks that are not sold out.
So with that in mind and knowing that Magic Kingdom park passes were sold out, what do the Genie+ prices look like on Independence Day? Here is a look at each option:
The highest price we’ve seen so far with the new system is $27 for Magic Kingdom and the multi-park option, but on June 3rd and 4th, Genie+ hit $29. We have seen Genie+ as expensive as $35 in the past, though.
We also got a look at how much the Individual Lightning Lanes cost:
- TRON Lightcycle / Run — $20
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — $12
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — $17
- Flight of Passage — $16
- Rise of the Resistance — $25

why isn’t genie plus offered during special events like mickey’s halloween party at magic kingdom or the christmas party at magic kingdom ?
such a benefit would be a-la-cart of course.
Hi Paul. Genie+ isn’t really needed during the After Hours parties because so few people are let in that you can ride everything in the park, catch a parade and enjoy other festivities in the time allowed.
