NEWS: Genie+ Will Get EASIER With These Updates in Disney World!

It’s time to talk about one of the most controversial changes in Disney history — Genie+.

Genie+

This paid skip-the-line service replaced the free FastPass service that was available before the COVID-19 closures in 2020. Since Genie+ was introduced, it has been a controversial topic among Disney fans, not only for the price but for the confusing system. Now, it seems like Disney wants to make this easier on parkgoers — let’s take a look!

Disney just announced that they aim to simplify the Disney Genie+ experience. Disney said, “We have heard from guests that they would like ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit, and we want you to know we are working on ways guests may do this for visits in 2024.”

In the past, you could book FastPasses before you arrived at Disney World so you already had some plan for what you could skip the line for each day of the trip. With Genie+ currently, you have to grab Lightning Lane reservations on the day you are in the parks. However, it seems like this could all change in 2024!

Disney continued saying “Our goal is to give you the opportunity to spend less time planning in the park and more time enjoying your visit with friends and family.”

Disney is not sharing specific details at this time, but it looks like Genie+ may be easier to use next year.
