Genie+ Sells Out in FASTEST TIME EVER, Despite Price Increase in Disney World

Genie+ just hit its highest price ever in Disney World — $35.

But it seems the high price hasn’t deterred too many guests from purchasing the FastPass+ replacement service. On April 3rd, Genie+ sold out in record time, just before noon ET. Now, it has sold out again…even faster.

According to Scott Gustin (via Twitter), Genie+ sold out before 10AM ET on April 4th — that’s a NEW record.

Despite the $35 price, it seems enough fans were interested in purchasing Genie+ that it sold out early in the day. It’s also possible that Disney more strictly limited the number of Genie+ sales allotted for the day in anticipation of bigger crowds attempting to use the service and potentially flooding those Lightning Lane lines.

Regardless of what happened, it serves as an important reminder to buy Genie+ EARLY.

Genie+ can be purchased starting generally at midnight on the day of your visit. Our advice is to buy Genie+ as EARLY as you can. That’ll give you the best chance of at least being able to buy and use the service that day.

Then, you’ll be able to make your first Genie+ selection at 7AM and continue to make selections throughout the day (provided there is availability for the rides you want to go on).

Keep in mind that the Genie+ price will vary depending on the day you visit, so it could be more expensive or less expensive when you go.

Also, note that the $35 price was JUST for the standard Genie+ service. That standard service does NOT include select rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Avatar Flight of Passage. Those popular rides are available via Individual Lightning Lane (pay-per-ride) and are priced (and sell out) separately.
