NEWS: Sneak Peek at the Menu for the NEW Japan Pavilion Restaurant in EPCOT!

EPCOT has been in the middle of a huge transformation, and it’s still not complete.

Although new experiences have opened like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and La Creperie, there are still construction walls all over the park. While we’ve known about many of the projects happening including a new Moana attraction, there’s a new addition coming to EPCOT that Disney just announced!

Disney just dropped the news that a brand new restaurant called Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is coming to EPCOT! This will be located in the Japan pavilion as a table service restaurant in a sharable Izakaya style.

The restaurant is set to open sometime this summer, but there is no exact opening date just yet. However, we already have a first look at the menu!

The restaurant will include a sushi bar with menu items like Kobore SushiTokyo Negi Roll, Funamori, and The Monster Roll. The Kobore Sushi is full of flavor with negi toro, nakaochi tuna, salmon roe, and green onion. The Tokyo Negi Roll is made with green onion tempura rolled with tuna tataki and topped with jalapeno aioli, shredded carrot, and sliced jalapeno.

Funamori will also be on the menu and features sashimi and sushi arranged on a boat-shaped plate. The menu will have samplings of Japanese Izakaya, which is a type of casual pub-style restaurant. There will be a variety of sharable small plate dishes including Karaage ChickenSalmon Misoyaki, and Tomato Salad with Avocado.

There will also be a grilled section of the menu offerings things like Okonomiyaki. This is a Japanese savory pancake filled with shredded cabbage and bacon, and topped with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, aonori, bonito flakes, and pickled ginger. Sounds delish!

Disney also announced that the menu will change seasonally and “each month brings a new celebration to your table.” We’ll be sure to give you a look at the full menu as soon as Disney releases it, so stay tuned!
