Are you a fan of the live-action remakes Disney has been making?
Disney’s new adaptation of The Little Mermaid is already breaking Disney records, and there are more live-action projects on the way. Many Disney fans recently got really excited when it seemed a popular actor may have been cast in the new live-action adaptation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but the actor has taken to social media to clear up the rumors.
Josh Gad has announced on social media that the post labeling him as the lead of the new Hunchback of Notre Dame is not real. It’s what’s called a fancast — an edit made by a fan — and he was just reacting to it.

Josh said “the script is one of the best I have read” so it seems like the script has been created.
He also states that he really hopes “the powers that be will see this love and let us make the live-action adaptation the original animated film deserves.” So could we see a live-action Hunchback of Notre Dame in the future with Josh Gad? Only time will tell, but as of now, there aren’t solid plans for this film.
