As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change and develop, AllEars will be bringing you the latest relevant news that could affect a theme park visit or cruise line sailing.
More and more things have returned to “normal” at the Disney theme parks and on the cruise ships. We’ve seen restaurants reopen and policies get updated over the last several months.

Now, another COVID-19 policy is being removed from the Disney Cruise Line, and it might affect your upcoming vacation.
The Disney Cruise Line announced that in-person assembly drills will be reintroduced in a phased process to all the Disney cruise ships. That means that every guest on board a Disney cruise ship will be required to report to their assigned assembly station in person at the scheduled time on embarkation day.

Previously, we’ve seen these drills conducted at staggered times so that multiple guests aren’t at the same station at one time. But that will be changing this month. Here’s a look at the schedule for the return of in-person assembly drills:
- Saturday, November 12th: Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy
- Monday, November 14th: Disney Wish
- Wednesday, November 16th: Disney Wonder
- Sunday, November 20th: Disney Magic
In their announcement, Disney said that “this transition will ensure all Crew Members and Guests are fully aware of our safety procedures in the event of an emergency.”

Guests can find their assigned assembly station on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, including directions for how to get there.

This change comes shortly after Disney announced that COVID-19 testing would no longer be required for guests sailing on their cruise ships. Beginning on November 14th, guests are now not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding. Note that proof of COVID-19 vaccination is also not required now.

We’ll continue to watch for more updates from Disney about changing policies, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest news.
