Why Disney World Annual Passholders Should WAIT to Do Their Shopping

If you’re paying hundreds or thousands of dollars each year to be a Disney World Annual Passholder, then you’ll certainly want to take advantage of the perks that come along with the pass.

Throughout the year, Passholders can score savings on hotel rooms, dining at table service restaurants, and even discounts on merchandise. But if you’re planning on doing some Disney World shopping soon, you might want to wait until September 14th!

Why September 14th? Well, that’s when Disney World will bump up the merchandise discount for a limited time! Typically, the savings offered is 20% off of any purchase, but from September 14th-October 14th, you can save 30%.

For merchandise discounts, each Passholder must present a valid Passholder ID and government-issued photo ID at the time of purchase. Or, if you want to save time, you can log into the My Disney Experience app and use Mobile Checkout — then your discount will automatically be applied if your pass is linked to your account.

But that’s not the only perk that’s available this fall! A new Passholder room discount at Disney World resorts is now available, and the Mickey & Minnie Passholder Magnet is back and can be picked up at Creations Shop in EPCOT. Then, later this fall, a SURPRISE Passholder magnet is being mailed out. To make sure you receive your magnet, double-check your mailing address in your profile on My Disney Experience.
